Wilson- Funeral services for Mary “Jean” Aubrene (Way) Boles, 79 are scheduled for 10:00 AM Wednesday, November 23, 2016 at the Wilson Assembly of God Church with Rev. Michael Tom officiating. Interment will follow at Hewitt Cemetery. Services are under the care and direction of Alexander Funeral Home of Wilson.
Mary “Jean” Aubrene (Way) Boles was born February 25, 1937 at Wilson to the late Mr. Frank Jefferson Way and Mrs. Bertha May (Stewart) Way. She departed this life Saturday, November 19, 2016 at her home in Wilson.
Jean was raised in Reck attending school at Zaneis. After graduating, she married Mr. Dale Boles on August 4, 1955 at Gainsville, TX. The couple made their home in Wilson. Jean worked at the fruit stand located at the Healdton/Wilson “Y” and also at Mashore’s Department Store for many years. Jean also worked for Dale Lay, country music artist, coordinating events and concerts. She enjoyed softball, spending time with her grandkids, great grandkids, visiting, and loved to play cards and listen to country music.
Preceding her in death are her parents; husband, Dale Boles on December 7, 2012; brothers, J.C., Raymond, Robert “Bob”, Jeff, Bill, and Rayford; sisters, Juanita and Blondell; son-in-law, James “Thorpe” Shaw.
Survivors include her daughters, Cheryl Boles and Peggy Shaw both of Wilson; sister, Joann Johnson and husband Dale of Stratford; brother, Freddie Way and wife Loretta of Healdton; grandchildren, Kimberly McLean and husband Wayne, Jessica Harrell and husband John, Kyle Hacker and wife Kaylee, and Jammy Shaw; adopted granddaughter, Ashley Shores; great grandchildren, Page Davoult and fiancé Derrick Wilkerson, Brianne Davoult, Joshua and Jacelyn Harrell, Kyler and Kenzie Hacker; great great grandchildren, Brody and Rayah Wilkerson; sisters-in-law, Madeline Way, Nelda Floyd, and Shirley Baird; numerous other family and friends.
Casket bearers will be Kyle Hacker, Jammy Shaw, John Harrell, Bill Leisure, Matt Burkhalter, and Jody Rich.
Honorary bearers are Mike Skelton, Colt Battles, and all of her great grandchildren.
Family visitation will be held from 6-7 PM Tuesday, November 22, 2016 in the Alexander Funeral Home Chapel at Wilson.
