Marvin Edward Mckinnon

Wilson - Graveside Services for Mr. Marvin E. McKinnon, 71, of Wilson is scheduled for 2:00 PM, Friday Dec. 2, 2016 at Crow Cemetery south of Orr with Bro. Brian Baker officiating. Services are under the care and direction of Alexander Funeral Home of Wilson.

Marvin was born Jan. 7, 1945 at Orr to the late Mr. Edward Taylor " Ned" McKinnon and Mrs. Wanda Mignon (Black). He departed this life Monday, Nov. 28, 2016 at Ardmore.

Marvin was raised in Orr and Ringling, graduating from Ringling High School. He joined the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. He was honorably discharged and returned back to this area and began a career in pipe lining industry. He married the former Ms. Brenda Carol (Phillips) on Feb. 14, 1967.

They made their home mainly in Wilson. Marvin was part of the Local Union 450, mostly operating a backhoe and as a job foreman. He enjoyed squirrel hunting and playing dominoes. Brenda preceded him in death on Sept. 20, 2016. Also preceding him in death is his Parents; brother, Rick and Eldridge and sisters, Fran and Peggy.

Survivors include his Daughters, Angela Jackson of Wilson and Kelly Williams of Healdton; sisters, Laquita Woodell of Casper, WY and Rene'e Green and husband Randy of Chickasha; brother Donald Russell and wife Sally of Hennessey; stepfather, Bob Russell of Chickasha; 4 grandchildren, Kelli, Dylan, Austin and McKinna; 2 great grandchildren, Remington and Rexi and 1 great on the way; numerous other family and friends.

Casket Bearers are Dale Vernon, Dean Vernon, Joe McKinnon, Shane McKinnon, Chad McKinnon, Jay Jackson and Frank Schaaf.

Honorary Bearers are Dylan Schaaf, Austin Williams, Jeremy Sanner, Keith Thompson and Alex Miller.

Family visitation will be held Thursday evening from 6 to 8 pm at Alexander Funeral Home of Wilson.
