Marty Gene Jones

Marty Gene Jones, age 63, of Lone Grove, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully at his home on March 16, 2025. Born on January 4, 1962, in Ardmore, Oklahoma, he was the son of the late George Elmer Jones and Patsy Joan (Justice) Jones.

A dedicated diesel mechanic, Marty spent the majority of his career in the oilfield as a pumper, notably working for Triple D Drilling for over 40 years. He was known for his passion for stock car racing, attending car shows which he had won numerous awards for, restoring hot rods and music. Above all, Marty cherished the time he spent with his grandchildren.  He was prankster always joking around and had a good nickname for everyone. 

Marty is survived by his wife, Barbara, children, Crystal Jones of Lone Grove and Michael Moyers and his wife Jen of Blanchard, Oklahoma. He was a proud grandfather to Brooklyn, her husband Danny, Bryce, Brazeden, Brenden, Stella, and Evie. Marty is also remembered by his brother, David Jones and his spouse Coy of Lone Grove, as well as a number of nieces, nephews, and a host of other family and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents; and 2 brothers, Allen and Ronald Jones.

Marty will be honored in funeral services scheduled for 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, March 22, 2025, at the Alexander Gray Funeral Home Chapel in Wilson, with Rev. Darryl Howard and Rev. Wayne Howard officiating. Interment will follow at Cheek Cemetery.

Visitation will take place on Friday evening from 6 to 8 P.M. at Alexander Gray Funeral Home in Wilson.

Pallbearers will include Bryce Taylor, Brazeden Taylor, Brenden Taylor, Richard Brownlee, Danny Coates, and Terry Cassingham.
