Marty Albin Firestone

January 16, 1969 — June 7, 2021

Velma - Services for Mr. Marty Albin Firestone, 52, of Velma are scheduled for 3:00 pm Saturday June 12, 2021 at the First Baptist Church of Ratliff City with Rev. Glynn Baker and Rev. Mike Johnston officiating. Interment will follow at the Bailey Family Cemetery near Bray. Services are under the care and direction of Alexander Gray Funeral Home of Velma.

Marty was born on Jan. 16, 1969 at Duncan to Mr. Albin Lewis "Monk" Firestone and Mrs. Elizabeth Ann (Massie) Firestone. He departed this life on Monday, June 7, 2021 at Wildcat Jim near Poolville.

Marty was primarily raised at Velma where he graduated high school in 1987. Shortly afterwards, he began a lifelong career in the oilfield, mostly working on pulling units as an operator and derrick hand. Currently he was employed for Kleen Oilfield Services, just recently moving back from North Dakota to this area.

Marty married the former Becky Thomas in June of 2014 and were best friends and fishing buddies. Marty always enjoyed when he would out fish Becky and was proud to be with someone he could be himself with. He was also proud of being sober since the age of 45 and enjoyed every day God gave him. He loved to go arrowhead hunting, fishing and aggravating Becky. He loved her immensely with his whole heart. Marty always tried to attend church wherever he was residing, but always felt at home when he attended church at Ratliff City First Baptist Church.

Preceding him in death was his mother, Ann Firestone; infant grandson, Marty Keith Firestone; cousins who were also his best friends, Jay Stoner and Chad Massie; grandparents and a stepson, Dustin Thomas.

Survivors include wife Becky of the home; daughter, Taylor Dawn Firestone of Tulsa; son, Marty Keith Firestone and wife Dana of Healdton; father, Monk Firestone and wife Nancy of Velma; sisters, Belinda Harris of Duncan and brother in law, Merlin Harris of Graham, and Ginger Carr of Velma, and brother in law, Charles Carr of Ardmore; grandson, Elijah Keith; numerous other family and friends.

Casket bearers are Jimmy Debord, Chaz Carr, Ritchie Wright, Creed Wright, Gregory Adams and Hank Hopkins.

Honorary Bearers are Terry Edwards, Pablo Alfaro, Jamie Thomas, Teddy Thomas, Kevin Harris, Bo Christian, Asiana Burt, Breana Christian and Angel Christian.

Family visitation will be held from 6 to 8 pm Friday evening at Alexander Gray Funeral Home of Velma.
