Martha Jean Patrick

A celebration of life for Mrs. Martha Jean (DeLano) Patrick is scheduled for 2 PM, Friday, January 20, 2017 at Alexander Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Doug Henson officiating. Interment will follow to Mt. Olive Cemetery in Healdton.


Mrs. Martha Jean (DeLano) Patrick, 77 was born September 3, 1939 in Noble, IL to the late Mr. Lewis Richard DeLano and Mrs. Frances Louise (Hildebrant) DeLano. She departed from this life on January 15, 2017 in Ardmore.


Martha’s family moved to Healdton in 1944 after the death of her grandfather William Arthur DeLano. She attended Dundee Schools graduating in 1957 with a class of 11. Martha married Jim Patrick on June 22, 1957 and to this union they were blessed with 3 children. She volunteered as 4-H and Cub Scout Leader while her kids were in school. She was also a proud member of the Wilson Extension Homemakers and the Ardmore Chapter of the Daughter’s of American Revolution. Martha graduated in 1982 with a degree in Nursing from Murray State College. She worked as a nurse at Ardmore Memorial and Jefferson County Hospitals as well as several Home Health Agencies in Ardmore and Oklahoma City. Matha retired in 2002.


Martha is preceded in death by her parents and brother, Richard Lewis DeLano.


She is survived by her daughters, Anna Nath of Lone Grove and Paula Palmer and fiancé Mike Wyatt of Wilson; son Mike Patrick and wife Sheresa of Duncan; brother, Jim DeLano and wife Jeanne of Ardmore; sister in law Juanita Segroves of Wilson; grandchildren, Jessica Fielding and husband John of Wilson, Jennifer Nath of Norman, Jonathan Patrick of Oklahoma City, Brittney Beck and husband Josh of Wilson, Hayley Nath of Norman, Sarah Workun and husband Gharrett of Yukon, Matthew Patrick of Norman, and Nathan Wyatt of Wilson; great granddaughter, Kadie Beck of Wilson and numerous other family and friends.


Family will serve as casket bearers.


A special thank you to Nadine Cochran and the nurses and staff at Ideal Home Health of Ardmore for taking such good care of our mom. Also a special thank you to Sarah and Joanna and the nursing staff on 2A at Mercy Hospital.


In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Wilson and Healdton Public Library.


A family visitation will be held 6-8 pm, Thursday evening at Alexander Funeral Home chapel in Wilson. Online condolences may be made to www.alexanderfuneralhome.org.
