Funeral Services for Mr. Mark Alan Reasoner, 58 of Ardmore are scheduled for 2 PM, Thursday, April 28, 2016 at the First Baptist Church of Ardmore with the Rev. Derrick Crawford officiating and Bro. Ted Clark assisting. Interment will follow to Milo Cemetery. Services are under the care and direction of Alexander Funeral Home of Wilson.
Mark was born May 1, 1957 in Duncan, OK to the late Mr. Robert Reasoner and Mrs. Frankie (Hupp) Reasoner Cochran. He departed this life on Saturday, April 23, 2016 at the age of 58 years, 11 months, and 22 days.
Mark was raised in Idabel, OK where he attended school and graduated in 1975. Mark attended college at Southeastern Oklahoma State University majoring in Music Education where he performed with the famous Chorvettes. After receiving his bachelor’s degree in 1979, he taught music at Healdton Public Schools for 2 years. He began working at G&G Music Store of Ardmore which later became known as Howard Music. Mark purchased Howard Music Store and named it Players Music which he owned and operated for 3 years. For the last 13 years Mark has been employed by WinStar World Casino as a Marketing Manager.
Mark married the love of his life Trudy (Spruell) Farmer on August 1, 1999. He was a member of the Mary Niblack Road Baptist Church serving as their music director, of which he felt very passionate. He had a very outgoing personality and could light up any room with his charming smile. Mark loved to entertain and was musically very gifted and talented. His band, The Night Shades, performed at many venues throughout Southern Oklahoma and North Texas. Mark’s message in song provided inspiration and comfort to many people through the years.
He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.
Mark is survived by his wife Trudy and daughter Chloe of the home; son, Chase Reasoner and mother Carla Reasoner of Grapevine TX; sister, Brenda (Reasoner) Porton and Perry Walters of Broken Bow, OK; brother, Dwain Reasoner and wife Holly of Potomac Falls, VA; step-father, Johnny Cochran and step-sister, Johnna Smith both of Broken Bow, OK; three nephews, Robert Porton and wife Ashley, Bradley Porton and Zachary Reasoner; niece, Lily Reasoner and numerous other family and friends.
Serving as pallbearers will be Rob Smith, Dennis McClendon, Robb Griffin, Tracy Hall, Rob Archer and Mike Fooshee.
Honorary bearers will be Randy Mote, Jimmy Reasoner, Doug Reasoner, Don Reasoner, Mike “Flash” Fiedler, Joe Reasoner.
A family visitation will be held 6:30 – 8 PM Wednesday, April 27, 2016 at the Alexander Funeral Home of Wilson.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Alexander Funeral Home in memory of Mark or to the Chloe Reasoner Scholarship Fund in memory of Mark Reasoner at 1st Bank and Trust, 710 S. Park Dr. Broken Bow, OK 74728.
