Saturday, October 8, 2022 at the Healdton Lake Pavilion.  Everyone is asked to bring a physical photo of Marion to share.   Cremation services are under the care and direction of Alexander Gray Funeral Home in Healdton.

Marion was born August 8, 1943 in Healdton, OK to the late Mr. C.B. "Barney" Ward and Mrs. Angaleea (Soleese) Ward.  He departed from this life on Friday, September 23, 2022 at his home in Healdton.

Marion was a native to Healdton always residing here with the exception of serving within the United States Army, as a meal cook.  This led him to a great passion and taste of cooking of delicious BBQ, sharing for all of his family and friends, throughout the years. Mom's Mini Mart of Healdton or the Healdton Lake where he loved to fish, were his common hangout places and not many could pass through town without seeing Marion. He loved beautiful women and fast cars, especially the old classics. His common reference to others in conversation was "babe" and could always be recognized for his perfected hairstyle in which he was very particular of.  He loved going to the casino with his sister, Mary and dog, Baby, who would set beside him for good luck and even paw a roll from time to time. Marion was very well known and will be missed by all of his family and friends.  He was an active member of the Enjuns Texoma Car Club and would always be present at any community event.

Preceding him in death were his parents; son, Marion Ward; sisters, Angaleea and Wanda; and a niece, Wanda Freeman.

Marion is survived by his son, Mark Eldon Ward and wife Kari of Kingfisher; daughters, Marketia Nell Firestone of Countyline and Sarah Marie Ward of Healdton; twin sister, Mary Elda Beck of Kingston; grandsons who were like his own sons, Ronnie Ward and wife Wyli and Andrew Ward; 15 great grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; and his canine companion, Baby; and by a host of other family and friends.

Contributions may be made to Alexander Gray Funeral Home to help with expenses.
