Margaret "Peggy" Irene Elder

Wilson - Memorial Services for Mrs. Margaret Irene "Peggy" Elder, 79 of Wilson are scheduled for 2:00 P.M., Friday, August 6, 2021 at the First Baptist Church of Wilson with Rev. Mark Fuller Officiating. Services are under the care and direction of Alexander Gray Funeral Home in Wilson.

Peggy was born on December 29, 1941 in Dallas, Texas to the late Mr. Austin Lester Lewis and Mrs. Margaret May (Massey) Dishman. She departed from this life on Monday, July 26, 2021 in Ardmore, OK.

Peggy was raised in Dallas attending school at Woodrow Wilson High School where she graduated in 1959. She married Mr. Roy Massey, Jr. and they were blessed with two children, Michelle and Mitchell. Later, she married Mr. Paul Cole and they were blessed with two daughters, Kelly and Kristi. Peggy loved painting and in her younger years, she enjoyed playing soccer. She also enjoyed working in her garden and going antiquing. But, most of all she loved being around her grandchildren and going to their activities. Peggy was a member of the First Baptist Church in Wilson, where she taught Sunday School and loved teaching children about the Lord. She was a woman of great faith.

Preceded in death are her parents; brother, Austin Lewis, Jr. and her husband, Larry Elder.

Peggy is survived by her son, Mitchell Massey of Wilson; daughters, Michelle Gilbert and husband Mike of Rowlett, Kelly Anz and husband Kyle of Austin and Kristi Cole and husband Rudy Perez of San Antonio; 6 grandchildren, Justin Gilbert and wife Kalee, Jake Gilbert and wife Alison, Hayden Anz and wife Brittany, Savannah Massey, Garrett Anz, and Ava Anz; 1 great grandson, Hunter Gilbert; and by a host of other family and friends.
