February 28, 1939 — November 18, 2024

A celebration of life service for Margaret Louise Bridgman, is scheduled for 11:00A.M., Thursday, November 21, 2024, at the Alexander Gray Funeral Home Chapel in Wilson, with Bro. Joe Taylor officiating. Services are under the care and direction of Alexander Gray Funeral Home and Crematory.

Margaret was born February 28, 1939, in Jasper, TX, to the late Mr. Claude Smith and Mrs. Gattis Louise (Neel) Luman. She departed this life Monday, November 18, 2024, at Chickasha, OK at the age of 85 years, 8 months, and 20 days.

Margaret’s journey through life took her to various places and jobs, but her heart always remained anchored in her family and community. After completing high school, she ventured into the Dallas area, embracing numerous roles that reflected her hardworking spirit. Eventually, she found her way to Ardmore, OK, and later settled in Chickasha, where she continued to make a difference in the lives of those around her.  A dedicated Medical Clerk at Integris in Enid, Margaret approached her work with the same compassion and commitment she showed in every aspect of her life. Her caring nature was evident not only in her professional endeavors but also in her deep dedication to her church community at Southwest Pentecostal Church of Ardmore, where she served as a youth minister. Through her service, she touched the lives of many young people, imparting wisdom and guidance that will resonate for years to come.  Margaret was a woman of many passions; she found joy in scrapbooking, capturing precious moments through photographs, and exploring new places through travel. However, above all, her greatest delight came from being surrounded by her grandchildren. The time spent with them brought her immense happiness.

Preceding her in death are her parents; stepfather, Kasey Luman; son, Rick Schell; brother, Forrest Smith.

Survivors include her children, Faith Earls and husband Jason of Fairland, OK, Claudette Joy and husband Bobby of Cheek, OK, and Toy Bridgman and wife Shanda of Enid, OK; daughter-in-law, Linda Schell of Buncombe Creek; grandchildren, Angel Moore, Chasity Williamson, Terra Powell, Shannon Conway, and Noah Bridgman; nine great grandchildren; numerous great great grandchildren and other family and friends.
