Courtney - Funeral Services for Malacha (Fox) Martin, 62, of Courtney will be held at 11:00 am Tuesday, August 4, 2009 at Courtney United Methodist Church with Rev. Carolyn Higdon officiating and Bryan Spivey providing the Eulogy. Interment will be at Bourland Cemetery in Courtney.

Malacha was born, in the family home, to Robert and Doris (Eakin) Fox on her Grandmother’s Indian Allotment in the Petersburg/ Courtney Community on December 22, 1946. Grandparents are Lorinda (Borland) and William Eakin as well as Clara (McCarty) and Luther Fox. She departed this life on July 31, 20009 after a two year battle with Pancreatic Cancer. She was preceded in death by her parents and numerous Aunts and Uncles.

Malacha is survived by her husband of 39 years, Robert Wayne Martin and three sons, Russell Martin and wife Malia of Milpitas, CA, Daniel Martin of Lawrence, KS, and James Martin and wife Angel of Albuquerque, NM and one daughter, Wendy Kaess and husband Mike of Bakersfield, CA. She is also survived by a brother, Lyndal Fox and wife Joan of South Bend, IN; Granddaughters Morgan and Andi Kaess of Bakersfield, CA; Nephews Joel Fox and wife Jenny of Indianapolis, IN and Andrew Fox and wife Jenny of Mishawaka, IN ; Great niece and nephew Ava and Drew Fox of Mishawaka, IN. Other local survivors include an Aunt, Helen Caldwell of Marietta, the Eldest Cousin, Glen Eakin of Ardmore, as well as many, many more favorite cousins.

Pallbearers will be Andrew Fox, Dewayne McCarty, Joel Fox, Langdon Spivey, Larry Fox, Tyrell Stages and Virgil “Bo” Clough.

Honorary Bearers are residents of Petersburg/ Courtney Community.

Family visitation will be Monday evening, August 3, 2009 from 5-7 pm at Alexander Funeral Home in Wilson.
