Velma - Funeral Services for Mr. Lynn Condit, 81, longtime resident of Stephens County, are scheduled for 10:00 AM Thursday, July 14, 2016 at the First Baptist Church of Velma with Rev. Randy Southerland officiating and Rev. Tracy L. Wilson assisting. Interment will follow at Purdy Cemetery in Garvin County. Services are under the direction and care of Alexander ~ Gray Velma Chapel.
Lynn was born on June 10, 1935 at Doyle, OK to the late Mr. Willie Ray Condit and Mrs. Lillie Edna (Wright) Condit. He departed this life Tuesday, July 12, 2016 at Duncan.
Lynn was raised at Doyle graduating high school in 1954. He moved to Claud in 1967 and has been a resident of Stephens County ever since. Lynn was a farmer and rancher all of his life and was a past recipient of the Old Settlers Picnic Legendary Award. He also had owned and operated an auto parts store at Alma Corner. Lynn enjoyed attending the Velma Senior Citizens Center where he loved playing dominoes.
Preceding him in death were his Parents; bother, Leon; special companion, Edith Thacker and her daughter Kaye Thacker.
Survivors include his son, Mark Condit and wife Diana of Velma; Ediths children, whome he called "his girls", Louise Weldon, Sue Burton and husband Connie and Bina Ivy; numerous other family, grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
Casket Bearers are Jared Condit, Ronnie Milligan, Donnie Condit, Bruce Condit, Rusty Burton and Boog Graham.
The family request that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Velma Senior Citizens Center in Memory of Lynn.
Family visitation will be held from 5 to 7 pm Wed. evening at the Alexander Gray Velma Chapel.
