Lynda Liddell (Mayes) Bylsma

A service celebrating Lynda Liddell (Mayes) Bylsma’s precious life will be held on Friday October 4, 2024, at 10:00 am. The family will be receiving guests at the viewing Thursday October 3, 2024, from 6-8pm at the funeral home. The services will be conducted and held at Alexander Funeral Home Chapel in Wilson.

 Lynda was born December 24, 1954, at Harvey, Illinois to the late Mr. James Liddell Mayes, Sr. and Mrs. Helen Margaret (Groshong) Mayes. She went to her heavenly home on September 28, 2024, after a long battle with cancer. Her final moments were spent peacefully in her home surrounded by family and close friends.

Known for her caring heart, artistic endeavors, and her unrelenting love for her family, friends, and animals. Lynda’s family asks that she be remembered for the joy she brought to others in life and not the sadness of her passing.

She is survived by her husband of 47 years Ken, her son Jonathon Davis and his wife Fe of Ft Worth, her daughters Jami and husband Mike Williams of Ardmore, and Karen Bylsma of Oklahoma City. Granny to Michael Williams, Jaylynn Williams, Jamyah Lott, Jahyla Lott, and Kalaja Lott all of Ardmore, OK. Siblings Harry Mayes, Larry Proffitt, Carla and Arnold Tate. And numerous nieces, nephews and grandchildren of her heart.

 She is preceded in death by her parents James and Helen Mayes, her big sister Peggy Proffitt, big brother Jimmy Mayes and sister, Susie Moore. 

 Her pallbearers will be Jonathon Davis, Mike Williams, Michael Williams, Arnold Tate, Taylor Tate, and Clinton Easterwood.
