Lynda Louise Mcgaughy

Wilson-Funeral Services for Lynda Louise (Christensen) McGaughy, 52, are scheduled for 10:00 A.M. Friday, October 3, 2014 at the Wilson Assembly of God Church with Rev. Dale Tarp officiating and Sister Betty Bartlett assisting. Interment will follow at Reck Cemetery.

Lynda Louise (Christensen) McGaughy was born December 5, 1961 to Mr. Douglas Christensen and Mrs. Rosalie Elenor (Doolittle) Christensen at Selma, California. She passed from this life Monday, September 29, 2014 at Fort Worth, Texas.

Lynda was raised at Clovis, CA. and attended Clovis High School. She attended college at West Coast Christian College in Fresno, CA.. She moved to Oklahoma in 1987 residing at Ardmore. There she began working at Woodview Nursing Home where she was employed for 13 years. Lynda married Gerald Lee Thompson and they were married for 12 years when he preceded her in death on February 23, 2001.

Later she met Mr. Jim McGaughy at the Assembly of God Church in Wilson and they married on April 6, 2002. Lynda and Jim made their home in Wilson where Lynda worked for Good Healthcare and Good Samaritan Hospice until she became ill. She loved attending church, singing and spending time with her grandchildren. Lynda had a love for God and others that she showed through her smile and kind hearted gestures.

In addition to her husband, Gerald Thompson, Lynda is preceded in death by her father, Doug Christensen.

She is survived by her Husband, Jim Dale McGaughy of the home; Son, Brandon A.W. Christensen and wife, Amy of Ardmore; Mother, Rosalie Christensen of Clovis, CA; Two Brothers, Arnold B. Christensen of Clovis , CA and Douglas L. Christensen and wife, Brenda of Fresno, CA; Three Grandchildren, Ryan Shirley, Allana Christensen and Alleigh Christensen; Numerous Nieces, Nephews and other Family and Friends.

Pallbearers are Daniel John, Mitchell Ingram, Bryan Adams, Cody Wilson, Greg Morgan and Scott Morgan.

Honorary Bearers are Levi Thompson, Jeremy Norton, Bill Dunn, Randy Hacker, Samuel Alexander Schrader.

Visitation will be from 6-8 PM Thursday, October 2, 2014 at the Alexander Funeral Home of Wilson.
