Loyd Dwight Vansill

Graham - Graveside Funeral Services for Mr. Loyd Dwight Vansill, 77, formerly of Countyline are scheduled for 2:00 PM Friday April 22, 2011 at Graham Cemetery with Rev. Roy Ralph Wadkins officiating. Services are under the direction and care of Alexander Funeral Home of Ratliff City.

Loyd was born October 13, 1933 at Graham to the late Mr. Willy Ed Vansill and Mrs. Sarah Estella (Watkins) Vansill. He departed this life Tuesday April 19, 2011 at Oklahoma City.

Loyd was raised in Graham area attending school there and at Fox. He joined the Oklahoma National Guard and never was deployed into active duty. He and the former Ms. Linda Morgan were united in marriage in the 50’s and resided mostly around the Countyline and Ratliff City area. Linda preceded him in death in early 80’s.

Loyd worked most of his working years in the Oilfield lastly being employed as pumper. He always enjoyed being outdoors and loved fishing. He was of the Baptist Faith.

In addition to his wife Linda, also preceding him in death are his Parents; brother, Ed Vansill and a daughter, Lena Faye Townsend.

Survivors include Daughter, June Miller of Duncan; Sons, Mark Vansill and wife Pamela of Catoosa, Gary Vansill, Dean Vansill, and Danny Vansill, all of Duncan. Sister, Dorothy Christian of Ratliff City. Brother, Jesse Vansill and wife Betty of Wilson. 11 Grandchildren, 2 Great Grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Honorary Bearers are Freddie Vansill, David Vansill, Curtis O’Daniel, Jimmy O’Daniel, Chuck O’Daniel and Jeffery Jordan.
