Louvina Maxine Morris

February 12, 1945 — January 24, 2024

Wilson - Memorial Services for Mrs. Louvina Maxine Morris, 78 of Wilson are scheduled for 2:00 P.M., Monday, March 25, 2024 at Alexander Gray Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplain Robert Chimwaza officiating.  Cremation services are under the care and direction of Alexander Gray Funeral Home in Wilson. 


Maxine was born February 12, 1945 in St. Louis, MO to Mr. William Elbert Gilbert and Mrs. Margie Maxine (Ballard) Gilbert.  She departed from this life on January 24, 2024 in Oklahoma City, OK.  


When Maxine was young, she helped care for her siblings and then had children of her own.  She was always a caregiver, taking care of everyone before herself.  Maxine worked as an accountant/bookkeeper in Spokane, WA and later at Black and Gold Casino in Wilson for 15 or more years where she retired.  She loved shopping and decorating.  


Preceding her in death were her parents; daughter, Jodie O'Daniel; son, Mark Morris; and brothers, Mike and Kenneth Gilbert; and a sister, Sue Tyler.


Maxine is survived by her children, Timothy Miles of Spokane, Kelly Johnson of Spokane, Eddie Miles and wife Amber of Montana, and Albert Morris and fiancé Kimberlee of Wilson; daughter in law, Mary Morris of Wilson; brothers, Robert Gilbert of St Louis and Jim Gilbert of Indiana; grandchildren, Jamie Burke, Lil Albert O'Daniel, Mark Miles, Garrett Morris, Timothy Miles, James Kunz, Kayla Kunz, Chad Johnson, and Samantha Miles; great grandchildren, Robert Burke, Mya Brooke, and Jameson Kunz; numerous nieces and nephews; and by a host of other family and friends.
