Louis Wayne Robinson

Healdton - Graveside services for Mr. Louis Wayne Robinson, 74, of Healdton are scheduled for 3:30 PM Saturday Oct. 24, 2020 at the Celestial Gardens Cemetery of Cyril with Rev. Kip Ackley officiating. Family visitation will be held from 6pm to 7pm Friday evening at Alexander Gray Funeral Home of Healdton, 65 Golf Course Rd.

Wayne was born on Jan. 17, 1946 at Grandfield, OK to the late Mr. Luke Robinson and Mrs. Gloria (Cox) Robinson. He departed this life on Tuesday evening, Oct. 20, 2020 at Mercy Hospital of Healdton.

Wayne was raised at Grandfield graduating high school there. Soon after he was drafted into the Army during the Vietnam War and served stateside for two years. After receiving an honorable discharge he returned home and began a lifelong career as a truck driver. He resided at Electra, TX and then Rock Springs, WY before returning to this area in 1988. He married the former Francis Christine Perkins on Sept. 4, 1992 at Wichita Falls, TX. They lived at Lake Ellsworth before moving to Healdton in 2007. Wayne always enjoyed having a big garden and loved to go fishing.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his grandparents whom raised him, Clarence and Nellie Cox; three sisters; grandsons, Kolby Knipp and Clint Price and a granddaughter, Destinee Randel.

Survivors include his wife Francis Christine "Chris" (Thornton) Robinson of the home; daughters, Crystal Gartman and husband Richard of Smithville, TX and Catherine Pierson and husband James of Dale, TX; sons, Keneth Knipp of Corpus Christi, TX and Craig Perkins and wife Michelle of Healdton; brothers, David Moore and wife Debbie of Van Buren, AR and Gary Moore and wife Judy of Wilson; sisters, Judy, Tony Kay, Louise and Carolyn; grandchildren, Ivey, Kayde, Noah, Makenna, Dalton, Heaven, Charles, Brianna, Caitlyn, Krisha, Kaleb, Keagan, Kestyn, Chayne and wife Nancy, Haley, Cayden, Mason, Allie, Case and Laura; great grandchildren, Kendall, Paisyn, Kira, Harper and Creed; numerous other family and friends.

Casket bearers are Craig Perkins, Chayne Perkins, Cayden Perkins, Kenny Knipp, Jarrett Owens and Noah Rinehart.

Honorary Bearers are Case Perkins, Kendall Knipp, Kaleb Knipp, Kestyn Knipp and Richard Gartman.
