Loretta Fern Williams

Funeral Services for Mrs. Loretta Fern (Scribner) Williams, 79, of Pruitt City are scheduled for Thursday, Dec. 12, 2013 at the Shell Street Church of Christ in Healdton with Danny Huntsman officiating. Interment will follow at the Hewitt Cemetery in Wilson. Services are under the direction and care of Alexander Funeral Home of Ratliff City.

Loretta was born in Oklahoma City on January 15, 1934 to the late Mr. Wiley Thomas Scribner and Mrs Nellie Jeanette (Goff) Scribner. She went to be with her Lord and Savior Monday evening, December 9, 2013 at her home in Pruitt City.

Loretta was initially raised in Oklahoma City moving to Billings, Ok at the age of 4. They moved to the Table Top Mountains near Elmore City when she was a teenager and then into the town of Elmore City. While residing in Elmore City she soon met and would later marry the late Mr. Royce Stanley Williams, Sr. They were united in marriage on September 13, 1951 at Gainesville, TX.

They always lived in the Ratliff City area. Loretta was a devoted housewife and mother who adored her family especially her grandchildren. She worked some at the Ratliff City Cafe' but mainly worked within her home. She loved listening to old country music and spending time with family and friends.

Husband Royce preceded her in death on August 21, 2004. Also preceding her in death is her Parents; Great Granddaughter, Haley Jo Solet;Siblings, Blondena, James, Pastel Hale, Faye, Alma Marie, Emma Lee, Norman and Donnie; and her lifelong friend Bobbie Wright.

Survivors include her children, Stanley Williams and wife Joyce of Wilson, Regonna Fosbury of Pruitt City, Diane Walker and husband Larry of Turner, and Roger D. Williams and wife Chonda of Velma; Sister, Barbara Haslam of Del City; 10 Grandchildren and 18 Great Grandchildren.

Pallbearers are Grandsons, Scott Williams, Bobby Williams, Kyle Williams, Chris Williams, Dusty Bray and Chris Fletcher.

Family visitation will be from 5 to 7 pm Wed. evening at the funeral home in Ratliff City.
