Lois Jean Sanders

Graham – Funeral Services for Mrs. Lois Jean (Smith) Sanders, 77, of Paris, TX are scheduled for 2:00 PM Saturday, October 9, 2010 at the Alexander Funeral Home Chapel in Wilson with Pat Smith officiating. Interment will follow at Graham Cemetery in Graham, OK.

Lois was born June 8, 1933 at Fox, OK to the late Arthur Dewey Smith and Bonnie Bernice (Witcher) Smith. She departed this life Tuesday, October 5, 2010 at Paris, TX.

Lois was raised in the Fox area around Empire Camp. She married the late Mr. JO Sanders, September 15, 1949 at Gainesville, TX. They had been residents of Paris since 1974. Lois devoted all of her time to family. She was a devoted housewife and caregiver to her family and was a member of the Church of Christ.

Preceding her in death is her Parents, Husband, JO-June 12, 1992, Son, Jackie E. Sargent -June 17, 2005, Sister, Opal Sue Burns- March 11, 1996, Brothers, Mark Smith- July 21, 1999, Floyd Smith – August 17, 1985, and Homer Smith – September 6, 2008.

Survivors include her Daughter, Linda Johnson of Healdton, Sons, Hank Sanders and wife Belinda and Joe “J.0.” Sanders and wife Chris, both of Paris, TX. Sisters, Mary Freeman and husband Ken of Thackerville, and Voncille Graham of Oklahoma City. Brothers, Earnest Smith of Aztec, N.M. and Billy Smith of Oklahoma City. Numerous grandchildren and other family and friends.

Pallbearers are Earnest Smith, Ray Smith, Bo McMillen, David Graham, Randy Sloan, and Mike Cohoon.

Family visitation will be from 5-7pm Friday evening at the funeral home.

Services are under the direction of Alexander Funeral Home of Wilson.
