Lois Dean, daughter of Louie Leona and Haskell Loyd Henderson, was born October 21, 1932, in Wilson, OK. She departed from this life on Sunday, May 2, 2021 in Waurika, OK.
Lois married J.R. Thompson on January 31, 1949, and to this union seven children were born. Lois was a homemaker and helpmate to her husband in his business. She loved quilting, sewing, painting, and embroidery; she loved to give away her crafts for free, bringing joy to those around her. She was an avid fisherman and often fished off of Roosevelt bridge over Lake Texoma with her children. She loved cooking and always had lots of leftovers to feed anyone that happened to stop by. She spoiled her grandchildren at Christmas, Easter, and birthdays when they were young; she realized they didn’t care what they got, they just wanted lots of presents.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, J.R. on May 1, 1989; daughter, Janice Faye Thompson on April 21, 1957; brothers, Orvel Whitaker and Larry Joe Henderson; great grandson, James Dilan Stepp; son in law, Jerry Stepp; granddaughter, Michelle Morgan.
