Mrs. Lois D. (Prentis) Branch, age 92, of Ringling, departed this life on February 28, 2018 at her residence North of Ringling at the age of 92 years and 2 months.
Mrs. Branch was born on December 28, 1925 in Ringling to the late Mr. Clarence A. Prentis and Mrs. Blanch Naomi (Baker) Prentis. She grew up in the Ringling area and spent all of her life in this area. She graduated from Mountain Home High School in the Mountain Home Community North of Ringling.

Homer and Lois eventually built their dream home North of Ringling on the family farm where she watched her grandchildren grow up. Lois spent many hours working outside of her home tending to her flower gardens, raking leaves and picking pecans in their pecan bottoms. Lois was retired from Ringling Public Schools but her greatest pleasure in life was being a loving wife, mother, and nana.
Lois had a great love for Christ and always wanted to set a good Christian example for others. She was a youth leader, Sunday school teacher, children's church minister, and the first female deacon at the church. She spent many hours praying for her family and others. Lois was always a source of inspiration to those in need. Lois not only took care of her children but many other children in the community. She would always have a car load of kids taking them to and from church. Lois was always there to lend a helping hand or cook one of her delicious southern meals when needed.
