Deanna (Hess) Whidden

Healdton – Mrs. Lloydeanna "Deanna" A. (Hess) Whidden, age 57, of Healdton, passed away on Monday, January 20, 2025, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Funeral services will be held at Alexander Gray Funeral Home Chapel on January 27, 2025, at 2:00 PM, with Lisa Knox and Eugene Christian officiating. Interment will follow at Graham Cemetery.

Deanna was born on March 5, 1967, in Santa Rosa, California, to Lloyd Edward Hess and Betty Joyce (Barber) Hess. Raised south of Graham, she graduated from Graham High School in 1986. On March 12, 1998, Deanna married Gary Whidden in Gainesville, Texas. The couple spent several years residing in Burneyville before returning to Healdton.

Throughout her life, Deanna was a devoted homemaker, cherishing her role in the family. She had a deep affection for her dog, Tiny, and enjoyed babysitting, engaging in conversations, playing solitaire, and connecting with loved ones over the phone.

Deanna was preceded in death by her parents and several beloved nieces and nephews: Lloyd McDowell, Ashley, Caden, and Cash Hess, Nickie Watkins, and Tommy Beavers.

She is survived by her husband, Gary Whidden; her cherished dog, Tiny; sisters Leona Cunningham and husband Curt, Linda Dhabalt and husband John, and Sharon Thomasson and husband Clint; brothers Mickey Watkins and wife Donna, Lynn Watkins and wife Gwen, Frankie McDowell and wife Paula, and Eddie Hess and wife Beulah; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and a wide circle of family and friends.

Honoring her memory as pallbearers will be Tiffany Hess, Leslie Hess, Allison Doake, CheyAnne Doake, Almeda Emerick, and Elizabeth Reynolds.
