Ringling – Graveside Services for Mrs. Linda Sue Coley, 65, of Ringling are scheduled for 10:00 AM Tuesday, May 21, 2013 at the Ringling Cemetery Pavilion with her brother Larry Coley officiating. Services are under the direction and care of Alexander Funeral Home of Ringling.
Linda was born October 3, 1947 at Healdton to the late Mr. Aubrey Allen Coley and Mrs. Mary Frances (Stanton) Coley. She departed this life Saturday, May 18, 2013 at a nursing home facility in Ardmore.
Linda moved to Ringling at the age of 15 and later graduated High School there in 1965. She welcomed her only child, Kipp Coley into this world in 1966 they made their home in Ringling. Linda Worked at Marietta Sportswear and Stromberg & Carlson before becoming the City Clerk of Ringling. She held that position for 16 years retiring in 2005 due to her health. During her years as a City Clerk some of her proudest achievements were co-organizing Ringling’s first Night Christmas Parade and the reopening the public pool. Linda was saved at a very early age at the First Baptist Church of Healdton and held her membership at the Blue Ribbon Missionary Baptist Church in Lone Grove.
She is preceded in death by her Parents, Mr. Aubrey Allen Coley and Mrs. Mary Frances (Stanton) Coley.
Survivors include her son, Kipp Coley of Ringling; Two Brothers, Larry Coley and wife Raynell of Ringling and Steven Coley and wife Becky of Krum, TX; Nieces Paula McElroy of Ringling, Caytie Coley and Lauren Coley both of Krum, TX; Nephew Allen Coley of Chickasha; 2 Great Nieces and 2 Great Nephews and a host of other family and friends.
Pallbearers are Kipp Coley, Mark Morris, Randy Wade, Zane Willis, Tony Apala, and Steve Coley.
Family visitation will be from 6-8pm Monday evening at Alexander Funeral Home of Ringling.
In lieu of flowers donations are to be made to Ringling’s Splash Pad Fund at the City of Ringling.
