Linda Sue (Carmichael) Copeland

Ringling - Funeral Services for Mrs. Linda Sue (Carmichael) Copeland, 71 of Ringling are scheduled for 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, August 21, 2019 at the First Baptist Church with Rev. Mike Williams and Linda's family officiating. Interment will follow to Ringling Memorial Cemetery. Services are under the care and direction of Alexander Gray Funeral Home in Ringling.

Linda was born February 5, 1948 in Sweetwater, TX to the late Mr. Leroy Carmichael and Mrs. Oweeta "Bessie" (Walls) Grimes. She departed from this life on Sunday, August 18, 2019 in Denton, TX.

Linda was raised in Sweetwater, TX until the age of 14 moving to Wichita Falls, TX. She married the late Mr. Jessie Copeland in Denison, TX on June 23, 1965 making their home in Wichita Falls until 1986. Soon after, they made their home in Ringling. Linda enjoyed playing Wahoo, visiting with family, and animals, especially her little dog Chip. She was always on the go, dressing up with her pearls and makeup whether it was going out to eat or going to the movies. Linda was a devoted Christian, sharing the love of Jesus and praying for others. She was always steadfast in her faith, witnessing and living the miracles of God. Linda was a devoted member of the Community Fellowship Outreach Center. Her family will forever cherish the homemade drawings she always made for them.

Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Jessie D. Copeland in 1998; infant sister; brothers, Leroy Carmichael and Tex Leon Carmichael; son in law, Greg Harris and great grandson, Noah Harris.

Linda is survived by her son, William Copeland and wife Cindy of Wichita Falls, TX; daughters, Tammy Lewis and husband Bart of Ardmore, Christy Cox and husband Roy of Ringling and Cindy Stewart and husband Patrick of Ringling; grandchildren, Nicole Copeland, Joseph Harris, Wayne Harris, Jacob Copeland, Cari Tucker, Erica Copeland, Alyssa Cox, Baler Stewart, Caleb Stewart, Ian Cox, Macs Stewart, Harley Stewart, Jessica Lewis, J.D. Lewis, Guy Cox and Will Lewis; great grandchildren, Echo Harris, Sophie Copeland, Kadian Harris, Evangeline Harris, Constantine Harris, Lila Tucker and two on the way; sisters in law, Andrae Goldman and Donna Maughn; special son, Odell Carroll and many others she called daughters and sons; and a host of other family and friends.

Pallbearers will be Bart Lewis, Patrick Stewart, Ian Cox, Caleb Stewart, Chris Carmichael, Bryan Carmichael, Roy Cox, and Randy Dowlearn.

Honorary bearers will be Joseph Harris, Wayne Harris, Jacob Copeland, Baler Stewart, Macs Stewart, Harley Stewart, J.D. Lewis, Guy Cox, Will Lewis, Odell Carroll and Sunshine Dowlearn.

Family visitation is scheduled for Tuesday evening from 6-8 P.M. at Alexander Gray Funeral Home in Ringling.
