Linda Gale McCleskey

Ringling – Remembrance Services for Linda Gale (Gunsolus) McCleskey, 80, of Ringling, are scheduled for 2:00 PM on Monday, August 12, 2024, at the Ringling United Methodist Church. Dr. Walt Spradling will officiate the service, with her brother, Rev. Gary Gunsolus, providing the eulogy. A private interment will follow with immediate family at Ringling Memorial Cemetery. The services are under the care and direction of Alexander Gray Funeral Home of Ringling.


Linda was born on January 14, 1944, in Gene Autry to the late Lester and Martha Lee (Kelly) Gunsolus. She peacefully passed away on Tuesday, August 6, 2024, at her residence in Ringling.


Raised in Dickson, Linda graduated from Dickson high school in 1962. She began her career by raising Limousine Cattle and operating a construction company before transitioning to owning and managing Red Carpet Real Estate Co./ Century 21, later known as McKown Reality of Ardmore.


On February 14, 1996, Linda married Joe McCleskey at the Lone Grove Assembly. Together, they established their home at the 3 Stripe Ranch in Ringling, where Linda cherished the ranching lifestyle. She found joy in gardening and caring for her animals, particularly her beloved dog and cats.


Linda is preceded in death by her parents; her husband Joe; her son, Dr. Alan McKown, and his wife, Laurie; four brothers, Lesley, Wesley, Lester Wayne, and David Alan; and her granddaughter, Beth Knight.


She is survived by son, Dr. Michael Wayne McKown and his wife Alonie of Yukon; her brother, Gary Gunsolus, and his wife Linda of Plainview; her granddaughter, Dr. Alex Eubanks, and her husband Chad of Ardmore; grandson, Levi McKown and wife Kennedy of Ardmore; Joe's children and grandchildren, whom she held dear as her own, Kimberly Dryden and Leslie Joe Cunningham; bonus grandchildren, Katherine Smith and Matthew Lyon Dryden; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.


Honorary casket bearers are Levi McKown, Matthew Dryden, Chad Eubanks, Hunter Eubanks, and Dan Harris.
