Linda Kay Hanks

Mrs. Linda Kay Hanks, of Ratliff City, departed this life on Saturday, November 14, 2020 at her residence near Ratliff City at the age of 75 years and 364 days. Graveside services are scheduled for 2:00 PM Thursday, November 19, 2020 at the Duncan Municipal Cemetery in Duncan with Rev. Mike Johnston officiating. Funeral services are under the direction and care of Alexander Funeral Home of Ratliff City.

Linda was born on November 15, 1944 in Duncan, OK. She was raised in Duncan by her parents Bob M. Ritter and Susie M. (Tivis) Ritter,

Linda lived most of her life in the Duncan area. She married the love of her life Mr. Roland David Hanks on January 23, 1962 in Duncan, OK. Together they made their home there and ran Hanks Auto Parts for many years. Linda was an exceptional homemaker, cook and a wonderful mother. She cherished each of her three daughters and always took great pride in raising them. She even took greater pride in her grandchildren and great grandchildren who affectionately called her "Noot". Linda loved to go places and shopping was one of her favorite past times. She was of the Baptist faith.

Preceding her death are her parents; husband Roland David Hanks; grandson, Anthony Gardner; father and mother in law, C.D. and Irene Hanks.

She leaves to cherish her memory, three daughters, Angela Burk and husband Steve of Lindsay, OK, Andrea Mize of Wichita Falls, TX, and Alicia Schier and husband Roger of Ratliff City; sister, Sandra Wortham and husband Larry of Marlow; brother-in-law, Michael D. Hanks and wife Lou Ann of Santa Clarita, CA; grandchildren, Aaron Gardner and wife Tabetha of Run Away Bay, TX, Brandon Burk and wife KeeLee of Mustang, Amanda Burk of Edmond, Derek Schier and wife Jerra of Tussy, Ashley Burk of Lindsay, and Kaylee Schier of Durant; great grandchildren, Jace Schier, Kinsey Burk, Isaac Gardner, Ariel Gardner, and Ezra Gardner; special caregiver, Cassie Foster of Ratliff City; Many other nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.

Serving as pallbearers will be Aaron Gardner, Brandon Burk, Derek Schier, Roger Schier, Steve Burk, and Ray Mize.

Honorary pallbearers will be Larry Wortham, Jace Schier, Isaac Gardner, Kinsey Burk, Ariel Gardner, and Ezra Gardner.

The funeral home will be open from 9:30 A.M. to 8:30 P.M. on Wednesday for viewing.
