Linda Joan Morriss

Ringling- Memorial Service for Linda Joan (Williams) Morriss, 68, of Ringling is scheduled for 2 PM, Tuesday, November 29, 2016 at the Alexander Funeral Home Chapel in Ringling with Bishop Rob Newell officiating. Private inurnment will follow to Ringling Memorial Cemetery. Services are under the direction and care of Alexander-Gray Crematory of Ringling.

Linda Joan (Williams) Morriss was born June 23, 1948 to the late Mr. Harvey Clayton Williams and Mrs. Myrtis Lucille (Haines) Williams at Omaha Nebraska. She departed from this life on November 20, 2016 in Duncan.

Linda was raised in Council Bluffs, Iowa attending school there. She later moved to California where she graduated high school. Linda attended college at Salt Lke City, Utah where she received a secretarial degree. She moved to Red Oak, Iowa when she decided to begin her writing career. Linda made her final move to Ringling in 2002 making it her home. During her writing career, Linda wrote and published two children books. She loved to crochet, doing word searches, playing solitaire, but mostly loved her sleep. Linda was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

Linda is preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Alice, Judy, and Jane.

She is survived by her son, Kevin Morriss and his wife Peggy of Ringling; sisters, Clara Williams of Ardmore, Mary Neighbors of Red Oak, Iowa; brother, JoeWilliams of Council Bluffs, Iowa; 5 step grandchildren, Raymond Coyle, Shalena Jacobs, Mark Jacobs, Dawn Jacobs, and Stephen Owens; 28 step great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
