Linda Jo Blackmon

August 7, 1949 — November 2, 2024

Comanche

Mrs. Linda Jo (Burrola) Blackmon, 75, of Comanche, gently departed from this world on Saturday, November 2, 2024, surrounded by the love of her family at her home. Cremation Services are under the care and direction of Alexander Gray Funeral Home in Wilson.

Linda was born on August 7, 1949, in Ardmore, OK, to the late Mr. Frank Burrola and Mrs. Betty Jo (Reed) Woods. From a young age, she embraced the role of caretaker, helping to raise her siblings and nurture those around her. Her deep compassion led her to a fulfilling career as a caregiver in the nursing home industry, where she touched the hearts of many.

Family meant everything to Linda, and she cherished every moment spent with her children and grandchildren. She had a special talent for bringing joy to their lives through her cooking and nurturing spirit. Linda's passions extended beyond her family; she found pleasure in tending to her garden, listening to old music, and engaging in friendly games of dominoes and spades, creating cherished memories along the way.

Linda was preceded in death by her beloved parents, her stepfather, Benjamin Woods, Jr., an infant son, and her brothers, Jesse Burrola and Frank Burrola—each loss a testament to the love she held for those she cherished.

She leaves behind a loving family, including her daughters, April Brown, Natalie Martin, and Christina Dedmon; sons, Christopher Woods, Charles Woods, Shannon Woods, Harley Woods, and CJ Blackmon; brothers, Jimmy Greenwood, Billy Greenwood, Bobby Greenwood, Benjamin Woods, III, and Jack Woods; and sisters, Glenda Greenwood and Jimmy Greenwood. In addition to her immediate family, Linda will be deeply missed by her 21 grandchildren and 35 great-grandchildren, along with a host of other family and friends whose lives she has touched.

Linda Jo Blackmon’s legacy of love, compassion, and family will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew her. As we remember her, let us celebrate a beautiful life well-lived, a soul that gave so much, and a heart that loved deeply.
