Levi Lumbert

Velma - Graveside Inurnment services for Mr. Levi Lumbert Jr., age 79 of Pearsall, Texas, are scheduled for 2:00 P.M., Monday, January 8, 2018 at New Velma Cemetery with Wiley Bathrop officiating. Services are under the care and direction of Alexander Gray Chapel in Velma.

Levi was born in CountyLine, OK on December 8, 1938, to the late Mr. Levi and Mrs. Leona (Welch) Lumbert. He passed from this life on Wednesday, December 27, 2017, in Pearsall.

Levi married the love of his life, Mrs. Barbara Brines on August 12, 1957 in Henrietta, TX. They were blessed with 4 children, David, Danny, Darrell and Deborah. Levi started his career at a young age for Chris Well Service which later became Well Tech. They moved to Pearsall, TX where he started an oil field business and they later retired. Levi was a devoted and loving husband and father. Most of all he adored his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Lumbert on May 13, 2017; parents and granddaughter, Lindsey.

Levi is survived by his sons, David Lee Lumbert of Pearsall, Danny Edward Lumbert of Point Comfort and Darrell Ray Lumbert of Pearsall; daughter, Deborah Gail Lumbert of New Braunfels; sisters, Francine Norman of Davis, OK and Frieda Mae Bingham of Marlow, OK; grandchildren, Scott and Alicia and husband Robert and great-grandchildren, Mallory, Desiree, Maddie, Dallas and Dylan.
