Lester Louis Stewart

Funeral services are scheduled for Mr. Lester Louis "Bear" Stewart, 81 of Healdton, OK at 2 pm on Saturday, January 23, 2016 at the First Baptist Church in Healdton with the Rev. Jeff Flowers and Rev. Don Clark assisting. Interment will follow to Keller Cemetery. Services are under the care of direction of Alexander Funeral Home in Wilson.

Bear was born January 12, 1935 in Healdton, OK to Mr. Ottis Louis Stewart and Mrs. Opal Sharron (Gaither) Stewart. He departed from this life on January 20, 2016 in Healdton, OK.


Bear was a member of the First Baptist Church of Healdton. He is also a member of the Masonic Lodge #23 of Healdton, KCCH Scottish Rite of McAlister, KCYH York Rite of Ardmore and the India Shrine of Oklahoma City. Bear was a Masonic metal of honor winner.

He is preceded in death by his first wife Myrtle Jewel (Brown) Stewart, his parents, daughter DeAnn Forsythe and Brother Dr. Doyle Stewart.

Survivors include his wife of the home Carol Jane (Graham) Stewart, son Mike Stewart and wife Tracy of Mustang, OK, Daughter Jan Stewart Marutzky of Marietta, OK, son Mark Condit and wife Diana of Duncan, OK, Daughter Kathi Stewart of Denison, TX, son Joe Bill Stewart and wife Diane of Duncan, OK son-in-law Ben Forsythe of Wilson, siblings Tommy Joe Stewart and wife Shirley of Owasso, TX and Irene and husband Tommy Ray Jones of Meeker, sister-in-law Marcia Stewart of Dallas, TX and brother Dr. Ed Stewart of Chickasha, OK. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren.


Serving as casket bearers will be Brandon Stewart, Joe Don Stewart, Brad Phillips, Holden Lambert, Jared Condit, Matthew Forsythe, Mitch Stewart and Elijah Forsythe. Honorary bearers will be Robert Stewart, Jim Gunter, the Wilson Class of 1952, Healdton Masonic Lodge #23 members and the Oklahoma Grand Lodge members.

In lieu of flowers, the family requested that donations may be made to the Baptist Girls Home in Madill.
