Leonard Dale Slawson

Wilson - Cremation services are scheduled for Leonard "Dale" Slawson, 65, of Wilson. He passed away on Saturday August 12, 2017 at Healdton. Dale was born on Jan. 14, 1952 at Wilson to the late Leonard F. Slawson and Margaret Elizabeth "Micky" (Nelson) Slawson.

Dale resided north of Wilson most of his years. He attended school at Rexroat until its closing when he transferred to Wilson. He and his father were self employed owning and operating Central Road Boring working together for many years. Dale also worked in the Oilfield doing general labor for several local companies.

Dale was an accomplished musician, mostly playing the bass guitar. His band enjoyed playing for several local establishments within the area. Dale was very fond of his canine companion whom he named Danny.

Preceding him in death are his Parents and an infant sister, Karen Sue Slawson.

Survivors include his sister Denise Humphries and husband Paul of Wilson and numerous other family and friends.

Services are under the care of Alexander Gray Crematory of Ringling.
