Leon Frank Lee Alford, Sr.

Wynnewood – Private Services are scheduled for Mr. Leon “Chockhouse” Frank Lee Alford, Sr., 70 of Ardmore. Interment will be at Hopewell Cemetery in Wynnewood with Military Honors provided by Ft. Sill Casualty Team.

Chockhouse was born October 3, 1939 at Stonewall to the late Mr. Odie Alford and Mrs. Josephine (Wright) Alford. He departed this life Friday, April 9, 2010 at Ardmore.

Chockhouse was a veteran of the United States Army and the United States Marine Corps. He worked at the Refinery in Ardmore most of his working years. He always enjoyed spending time with his friends and family and was a very talented musician that enjoyed singing. In his younger days he rode and broke horses and always had livestock. He will be greatly missed all who knew him and those he mentored through the years.

Preceding him in death were his Parents, Odie and Josephine, and one brother Clarence Alford.

Survivors include his wife Erma Alford of the home, Daughters, Dana Dorsey Turner and husband Skip Jones of Ardmore, and Janna Fagan of Dallas, Tx. Sons, Leon Alford, Jr. of Ada, Maurice Obrein Franklin of New York, Brian Keith Alford of Tulsa, and Kevin Wraye Franklin, Sr. of Ardmore. A host of grandchildren and Great Grandchildren, nieces and nephews, cousins and many, many fans and foes.

Casket Bearers are Kevin Wraye Franklin, Sr., Kevin Wraye Franklin, Jr., Carlton DeSean Dorsey, Brandan P.A. Fagan, Roman Earl Jones, Jr. and Joshua Williams.
