Leo Minor Bryant

September 5, 1924 — January 6, 2011

Ringling – Funeral Services for Mr. Leo Minor “Boog” Bryant, 86, of Ringling, is scheduled for 2:00 PM Saturday, January 8, 2011 at the Church of Jesus Christ Gospel Tabernacle with Rev. Jimmy Morris officiating. Interment will follow at Dixie Cemetery north of Ringling with Military Burial Honors. Services are under the direction of Alexander Funeral Home of Ringling.

Boog was born September 5, 1924 at Wirt, OK to the late Mr. Edward Reese Bryant and Mrs. Drucilla Frances (O’Daniel) Bryant. He departed this life Thursday January 6, 2011 at Norman.

Boog was raised in the Healdton area attending school and playing football at Dundee. He joined the United States Navy during WWII, July 12, 1943 at Oklahoma City. He served as a gunner and was honorabyly discharged for his service December 13, 1945. He and the former Ms. Rebecca Maurice “Butch” McCauley were united in marriage on August 21, 1945 at Gainesville, TX. They initially lived for a short period at Portland Oregon and then moved to Healdton and finally Ringling where they made their home. Boog was employed for 33 years for Texaco and retired as the production foremen. Boog enjoyed the outdoors and sitting on his back porch feeding his squirrels. He was baptized at the Gospel Tabernacle.

Preceding him in death are his Parents, wife Butch, February 26, 2008, and twelve siblings.

Survivors include his Daughter Glenda Cusher and husband John of Oklahoma City, Son Tommy Leo Bryant and wife Kathy of Ringling. 6 Grandchildren, Heather Phillips, Tonya Hellwege, Wesley Cusher, Richard Hackler, Craig Bryant and Parker Bryant. Great Grandchildren Jayden Phillips, Gavin Phillips, Chloe Hackler, Gracie Rose Bryant and Blake Leo Bryant.

Pallbearers will be Wesley Cusher, Richard Hackler, Craig Bryant, and Parker Bryant.

Family visitation will be from 6 to 7 pm Friday at the funeral home in Ringling.
