Lawana Lucille Wilson

April 6, 1928 — May 16, 2018

Wilson - Celebration of Life Services for Mrs. Lawana Lucille (Crabb) Wilson, 90, of Wilson is scheduled for 2:00 PM Saturday, May 19, 2018 at the Alexander Funeral Home Chapel in Wilson with Caleb Fulton and family officiating. Interment will follow at Hewitt Cemetery at Wilson.

Lawana was born on April 6, 1928 at Wilson to the late Mr. Wilmer Rufus Crabb and Mrs. Bessie Mae (Moates) Crabb. She departed this life Wednesday May 16, 2018 at her home in Wilson.

Lawana was raised north of town near Rexroat attending school there. She married Robert L. "Bob" Wilson on Dec. 3, 1946 at Coldwater, KS. They made their home primarily in Wilson owning and operating Wilson Drilling Company for many years. Lawana was an excellent and devout homemaker in addition to working within Insurance sales for many years. She was also an excellent seamstress always making clothes for her children and numerous keepsakes for her family. Lawana loved to garden and enjoyed having family get togethers. She always had a deep concern for others and tried her best to feed you when you came into her house. Bob preceded her in death on August 6, 2009. Since her days have been filled with reminiscing on all their fond memories they shared together with her many grandchildren and family. Lawana was raised in the First Baptist Church of Wilson and was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Wilson.

Also preceding her in death is her Parents; infant daughter, Terri Lynn Wilson; sister, Mildred Eeds and a brother, Leonard Crabb.

Survivors include daughters, Janis Barber of Wilson and Denise Holt and husband Bill of Ardmore; sister, Norma Jean Mielke and husband Allen of Spokane, WA; grandchildren, Jason Cox, Kelley Kinsey and Bob Coggins, Amber Gray and Rodney Cole and Zane Gray and wife Sherry; great grandchildren, Eric Cox, Kelsey Cox and Corey Shivers, Kaden Cox, Dakota Kinsey, Katie Kinsey, Garren Gray, Hailey Pletcher and husband Dylan, Kelby Gray, Blade Gray, Austyn Gray, Peyton Luke Gray and Creede Gray; numerous great great grandchildren and host of nieces, nephews and other family.

Casket Bearers are Dakota Kinsey, Garren Gray, Dylan Pletcher, Kelby Gray, Blade Gray, Peyton Luke Gray and Larry Forsythe.

Honorary Bearers are Jack Crabb, Doug Crabb, Wayne Crabb, Bill Holt, Bob Coggins, Rodney Cole and Greg Verdin.

Family visitation will be held from 6 to 8 pm Friday evening at Alexander Funeral Home of Wilson.
