Lavona Sandra (Senter) Stapleton

Lavona Sandra (Senter) Stapleton, formerly of Ringling, departed this life on February 15, 2022 in Ardmore at the age of 81 years, 0 months, and 11 days. Graveside services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Friday, February 18, 2022 at Dixie Cemetery North of Ringling with Bro. Mike Williams officiating. Services are under the direction and care of Alexander Gray Funeral Home of Wilson.

Lavona was born on January 4, 1941 in Flora, Illinois to the late Mr. Eulan Senter and Mrs. Mable (Wheeler) Senter.

Lavona was raised in Illinois and lived there many years. She and Mr. Leon Junior Stapleton were married in 1987. They moved to Ringling in 2007. Lavonna worked at the Ringling, Overbrook, and Gainesville Livestock Auctions. She enjoyed puzzle books and Suduko. She also enjoy visiting with her granchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Leon Junior Stapleton; son, Johnny Christopher Hatcher; grandaughter, Krista Pickens; and one brother, Herb Senter.

Lavona is survived by her children, Rita Kay of Tennessee, Drena Boles of Illinois, Bonita Hall of Walters, Leasa Stapleton and Wilbie Barnes of Ringling, Jack Stapleton and Diane Toney of Lone Grove, and Dawn Stapletonof Wilson; one sister; 36 grandchildren and 37 great grandchildren. Many other relatives and a host of friends.

Serving as casket bearers will be Jack Stapleton, Dakota Stapleton, DeWyatt Cox, and Drake Stapleton.
