Larry Newman Faught, age 65, of Wilson, peacefully departed this life on August 31, 2024, at his home. He was born on February 10, 1959, in Nashville, Arkansas, to the late Mr. Paul Newman Faught and Mrs. Cleta Mae (Leslie) Faught.

Raised in Wilson, Larry was a proud member of the graduating class of 1977. Following high school, he pursued vocational education, which laid the foundation for his lifelong career as a machinist. With over 35 years of service, he retired from Bell Helicopter approximately one year ago, having made Grand Prairie his home during much of his professional life.

Larry's role as a father to his son, Jeremy, was a source of immense pride and joy. He cherished the moments spent with his family, including the delightful companionship of his grandchildren: Abigail, Aislynn, and Ava Faught. Throughout his life, Larry found enjoyment in the simplicity of outdoor activities. He was fond of riding his bike and fishing, pursuits that brought him peace and happiness.

Larry's faith played an important role in his life. He was baptized at the tender age of 12 at Little City by Bro. Wiggington, a milestone that underscored the values he carried throughout his years.

In addition to his late parents, Larry was preceded in death by his infant brother, David Lynn Faught, and his brother, Gary Wayne Faught. He leaves behind a supportive family, including his son, Jeremy Faught of Wilson; his stepmother, Lolita Faught of Wilson; and siblings, Patsy Russell of Durant, Paul Ray Faught of Ardmore, Sharon Musgrove, and husband Leonard of Wilson and Alesia Wright and husband Tim of Ardmore.   Larry also leaves numerous other family members and friends who will remember him fondly.
