Larry Don Ellyson

Wilson- Funeral Services for Mr. Larry Don Ellyson, 39, of Burneyville are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Friday, August 16, 2019 at Alexander Gray Funeral Home Chapel in Wilson with Rick Hamilton and David Shahan officiating. Interment will follow at Hewitt Cemetery. Services are under the care and direction of Alexander Gray Funeral Home of Wilson.

Larry was born on June 11, 1980 at Ardmore to Mr. George Ray Ellyson and Mrs. Beverly Lynn (Bryant) Ellyson. He departed this life Sunday, August 11, 2019 at Decatur, TX.

Larry was raised primarily in the Ardmore area attending school there and at Wilson. He graduated from Ardmore High School in 1999 and then attended Murray State College for a short period. Larry worked at J & D Hauling Co. of Ardmore with his brother John for a number of years before becoming employed for the Michelin Tire Plant. Larry was currently working as a truck driver hauling crude oil

Larry married the former Ms. Rachel Gabor on October 1, 2011 at Ardmore. The couple resided in Ardmore before settling at Falconhead in 2017 and were blessed with two sons, Rhett and Trent. He always loved working and building things out of wood. He had built most of the furniture in his home. He always loved spending time with his boys and will be remembered for having an inviting smile and a courteous welcome to everyone he met.

Survivors include his wife, Rachel of the home; sons, Rhett and Trent Ellyson also of the home; mother, Beverly Ellyson of Ardmore; brother, John Pletcher and wife Tabby of Ardmore; sister, Cindy Faulkenberry and husband Dale of Marietta; brother, Chet; sister, Sarah; parents in law and numerous other family and friends.

Pallbearers are Shawn Bridgemen, Keith Eggenburg, Garrett Highsmith, Buck Thornley, Justin Ayres and Dennis Leader.

Family visitation will be held from 11A.M. to 1P.M. Friday, prior to the funeral service.
