Larry Allen Coley

Lone Grove - Celebration of Life Services for Bro. Larry Allen Coley, Sr., 66, of Ringling are scheduled for 11:00 am Wednesday, February 21, 2018 at the Blue Ribbon Missionary Baptist Church with Bro. Wayne Warthen and Bro. James Brantley officiating. Interment will follow at the Ringling Memorial Cemetery. Services are under the care and direction of Alexander Funeral Home of Ringling.

Larry was born on October 27, 1951 at Wilson to the late Aubrey Allen Coley and Mary Francis (Stanton) Coley. He went to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday evening February 17, 2018 at his home in Ringling.

Larry was raised at Healdton and Ringling, graduating from Ringling High School in 1969. He married the former Ms. Raynell Scifres on May 29, 1970 at Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church of Ringling by Bro. Frank Powell. In 1978 Larry was called to the ministry and immediately became the pastor at Blue Ribbon Missionary Baptist Church of Lone Grove. There, he served as the pastor until 1982 when he moved to Altus. Residing at Altus he served as the minister at Bethel Missionary Baptist Church until 1984 when they moved to Vilonia, AR where he served as the minster at Landmark Missionary Baptist Church. They moved back to Ringling in 1990 and Larry once again became the Pastor of Blue Ribbon and has since remained. He adored his grandchildren and cherished moments with them at all their activities and events and fulfilled his purpose everyday by serving the Lord.

Preceding him were his parents, Aubrey and Francis Coley; a sister, Linda Coley; 1 infant child; 1 grandchild and 1 great grandchild.

Survivors include his loving wife, Raynell of the home; daughter, Paula McElroy and husband Chuck; son, Allen Coley and wife Kim of Ringling; brother, Steve Coley and wife Becky of Krum, TX; nephew, who was more like a brother, Kipp Coley of Ringling; grandchildren, Mindy and Nathan Martin, Drue McElroy, Abbigayle Coley and Trae Coley; great grandchildren, Charlie Rose Martin;nieces, Caytie and Daniel Flores, and Lauren and Wesley Downs.

Casket Bearers will be Steve Coley, Kipp Coley, Allen Coley, Trae Coley, Chuck McElroy, Nathan Martin and Drue McElroy.

Honorary Bearers are the Men of Blue Ribbon Missionary Baptist Chruch.

Family visitation will be held form 6 to 8 pm Tuesday evening at Alexander Funeral Home of Ringling.

In lieu of flowers donations are to be made to Cross Timbers Hospice of Ardmore 207 C St. NW.
