Lana Jean (Adams) Hartman

Lana Jean (Adams) Hartman, age 60, formerly of Wilson, departed this life peacefully at her residence in Ardmore on Saturday, December 28, 2019 surrounded by her family. Funeral Services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, December 31, 2019 at the First Baptist Church in Wilson. Interment will follow in the Hewitt Cemetery in Wilson. Services are under the direction and care of Alexander Gray Funeral Home in Wilson.

Lana was born on March 9, 1959 in Fayetteville, NC to Mr. E.C. Adams and Mrs. Leta Fern (Ferguson) Adams.

Lana was raised and attended school in Wilson. She then went to cosmetology school. Lana and Marty Hodges were married and they were blessed with two children Christy and Misty. She then met the love of her life Tojo Tanner and together they raised three girls Christy, Misty, and Hali. Lana was an avid OU Football fan and enjoyed watching the Sooners play. Lana loved her grandchildren and spending time with them.

She is preceded in death by her father, E.C. Adams; stepfather, Charlie Wheeler; Brother, Keith Adams, and husband, Tojo Tanner.

Lana leaves to cherish her memory to her daughters; Christa Jackson of Ardmore, Misty Hodges and Stephanie of Ardmore, Hali Tanner and James of Sand Springs, OK; mother, Leta Wheeler of Wilson; 4 sisters, Cathy Pelton and Dennis of Wilson, Debbie Smith and Brent of Ringling, Shellie Gentry and Darren of Wilson, Melissa Overby and Trevor of Wilson; brother, Butch Adams and Donna of Wilson; 3 grandchildren Takoda, Tasali and Kayla, and her canine companion Missy of the home; Many other relatives and a host of friends.

Serving as Pallbearers will be Daniel Robinson, Jason Johns, Clay Smith, Derek Gentry, Weston Adams, Ethan Adams, Toby Overby, and Kody Overby.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Joey McMillen, Joe Bob Bennett, Mark Narro, Dennis Pelton, Brent Smith, Trevor Overby, and Darren Gentry.

Visitation will be held from 6-8 P.M. Monday evening at the funeral home in Wilson.
