La Vonne Kay Lewallen

Born Jan. 10, 1932, in Gettes, S.D., to Charles E. and Anna Marie Walt Hope, she passed away June 5, 2008, in her home in Ardmore. She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Marilyn Gibson; and a daughter, Connie Marie Lewallen.

Lewallen grew up in Modesto, Calif., and later married Aubrey Dale Lewallen March 3, 1951 in Modesto. They settled in Tracy, Calif., and relocated to Ardmore in 2005. She was a loving homemaker and a volunteer at public schools.

Survivors include her husband, of the home; a daughter, Linda Javaher and husband Jeff, Modesto, Calif.; three sons, Randy Lewallen and wife Cate, Discovery Bay, Calif., Terry Lewallen and wife Linda of Vacaville, Calif., and Ricky Lewallen of Monteca, Calif.; eight grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends.

Honorary bearers will be O.L. Gray Jr., Budd Webb, Ken Robinson, Alvie Walker, Alvin Baker, Troy Gaither, Larry Holbrook and all neighbors and friends.
