Kenton Ponder

Family memorial inurnment services for Mr. Kenton "Kenny" Ince Ponder are scheduled for 11 AM, Saturday, August 13, 2016 at the Graham Cemetery.

Kenny was born August 23, 1956 in Hominy, OK to Mr. Jimmy Filbert Ponder and Mrs. Patricia Ann (Mead) Halstead. He departed from this life on August 6, 2016 in Ardmore.

Kenny was raised in Graham graduating in 1975. He has worked in the oilfield most of his life and he loved his dogs.

He is preceded in death by his father, Jimmy Ponder; son, Cody Ponder in 2013 and by a step daughter MarIsha McCraw.

Kenny is survived by his sons, Corey Ponder and wife Michelle of Edmond and Richard Ponder of Ardmore; step son Kurt Smoot of Tulsa; daughter in law Johnnie-Margaret McConnell of Norman; mother, Patricia Ann Halstead and husband Robert of Oklahoma City; brothers, Jimmy Ponder and wife Betty of Oilton, OK; Eugene Ponder and wife Bess of Shelbyville, TN, Mike, John and Scott Treadway all of Oklahoma City; sister Tammy Treadway of Oklahoma City; grandchildren, Mikayla, Cole and Charlotte Ponder all of Edmond; best friend Leanna Williams of Ardmore and numerous of other family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family asked that donations be made to Cody Ponder Endowment Fund care of Stephenson Cancer Center 800 NE 10th St, Oklahoma City, OK 73104.
