Kenneth Leslie Dyer

August 22, 1944 — July 6, 2021

Lone Grove - Funeral Services for Mr. Kenneth Leslie Dyer, 76 of Lone Grove are scheduled for 2:00 P.M., Monday, July 12, 2021 at New Hope Freewill Baptist Church with Pastor Dustin Gardner officiating. Interment will follow to Bomar Point Cemetery. Services are under the care and direction of Alexander Gray Funeral Home in Wilson.

Kenneth was born August 22, 1944 in Tarkio, MO to the late Mr. Chester Franklin Dyer and Mrs. Edna Mae (Churchill) Dyer. He departed from this life on Tuesday, July 6, 2021 at his home in Lone Grove.

Kenneth married the former Sandra Whatley on May 7, 1983 in Ardmore and together they were blessed with 5 children. They made their home in the Lone Grove/Ardmore area. Kenneth worked at the Lone Grove Public Schools as the crossing guard for over 30 years. He loved his job and had a great passion for what he did. Kenneth enjoyed fishing and going to wrestling matches. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family and friends. Kenneth was a member of the New Hope Freewill Baptist Church in Lone Grove.

Preceding him in death were his parents; wife, Sandra; sisters, Patsy, Norene, Sue, Carol and Francis; brothers, Jerry, Jimmy, and Lester "Shorty"; and a nephew, Jesse Smith.

Kenneth is survived by his children, Patsy Barrett of Ardmore, Kenny Dyer of Ardmore, Billy Dyer and wife Vanessa of Anadarko, Destiny Dyer of Ft Smith, AR, and Emily Johnson and husband Shannon of Ardmore; special children, Madeline Denham and Melanie and Matt Brummett; siblings, Patty Smith and John Pierce of Healdton, Linda Lingar of Texas, Wesley "Bo" Dyer of Ringling, Gerald "Sunshine" Dyer of Wilson, and Darold "Dean" Dyer of Wilson; 17 grandchildren, Kaylee, Joshua, Lillian, Layla, and Bentley Johnson of Lone Grove, Zoe Cole, Hannah Cole, Justin Comer, Angelica and husband Kenneth; Kendall and Princess Dyer, Jeremy Tags, Derek McCullar, Christal Barrett, Darrell, Zayniah and Lula; 9 great grandchildren; brother and sisters in law, Bob Whatley of Oklahoma City, Debrah Butler and husband Butch of Lone Grove, and Darinda Caudle and husband Gus of Lone Grove; nieces and nephews, David Denham and wife Alicia, Aaron Whatley and wife Jennifer, Cody, Brooke, Ashley and Henry Whatley, Madeline Denham, Weston Denham and Madi, Colton Denham, Caleb Magee, Chey Cornelius, Amanda and Jordan James, Dustin and Heather Moiser, Eric and Melissa Moiser, Billy and Chelsea Moiser and Christy Bulla and husband Dustin, Tammy Dyer, and Elvis Dyer; a host of great nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and a host of other family and friends.

Pallbearers will be Dustin Moiser, Jerry Bostic, Scotty Seifried, Quinzell Pickens, Chandler Hopkins, and Wade Griffen. Honorary bearers will be Grandsons, Nephews, Friends and Coworkers at Lone Grove Schools and all his Wrestling Family.

Visitation will be held Sunday evening from 6-8 P.M. at Alexander Gray Funeral Home in Wilson.
