Kendall "Kenny" Eugene Sears

Wilson - Funeral Services for Mr. Kendall "Kenny" Eugene Sears Jr. 63 of Healdton are scheduled for 2:00 P.M., Friday, January 11, 2019 at Alexander Funeral Home Chapel in Wilson with Clint Walker officiating. Interment will follow to Mount Olive Cemetery.

Kenny was born March 5, 1955 in Wichita Falls, TX to the late Mr. Kendall Eugene Sears Sr. and Mrs. Freddie Olga (Moore) Sears. He departed from this life on Saturday, January 5, 2019 at his home in Healdton.

Kenny was raised in Healdton attending grade school in Lindsay, graduating from Healdton High School in 1973 as the Valedictorian. Upon graduating high school, Kenny had a congressional appointment to the US Air Force Academy. He graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Biology in 1977 and made a career as an officer in the Air Force and retired as a Major in 1994. Kenny also received his Master's degree in Aeronautical Science from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University along the way. After retiring from the Air Force, he worked as a Systems Engineer with several different defense contractors including Lockheed Martin and Raytheon.

Preceding him in death are his parents; brother, Jimmy Sears; and grandson, Samuel Sears.

Kenny is survived by his sons, David Sears and wife Wendi and Bryan Sears and wife Becky; daughter, Kassandra Pesek and husband Tim; grandchildren, Eloisa and Jason Sears; brothers, Harold Don Sears and wife Debbie of Healdton, Ronnie Sears of Newcastle, and John Sears and wife Paula of Healdton; sister, Debra Smith and husband Darrin of Wylie, TX; maternal aunt, Marjorie Jane Doyle; as well as many nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.

Pallbearers will be Mike Bivings, Derek Smith, Dylan Smith, John Sears Jr., Waylen Sears and Chuck Hopson.

Honorary bearers will be the Healdton High School Class of 1973.

A family visitation will be held Thursday evening from 6-8 P.M. at Alexander Funeral Home in Wilson.
