Kay Beverly (Collins) Fields, 84, of Duncan, Oklahoma went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, August 18, 2020. Graveside services are scheduled for 10 A.M. Friday, August 21, 2020 at the New Velma Cemetery in Velma, OK. Services are under the care and direction of Alexander Gray Funeral Home in Velma
Kay was born to the late Mr. Rhube Collins and Mrs. Bertha (Cummings) Collins on July 23, 1936 in Maude, OK.
In her earlier years, Kay worked for several different Oilfield Companies as a bookkeeper/secretary. After retiring, she spent her time with family. She enjoyed playing the piano and singing her favorite hymns. She was an avid Thunder Basketball fan and even though her eyesight had failed, she would listen to the games and knew each player's name. She also was a lover of Christian Television Network, TBN. She loved all the teachings about her Lord and Savior. Kay was a resident of the Chisholm Trail Assisted Living Center of Duncan, OK where she had the privilege of making many new friends through her ten years of residency.
Kay is survived by four of her children, Ladonna Johnson of Oklahoma City, Marquita Sutton and husband Donny of Loco, Greg Johnson and wife Tricia of Fox, and Bryan DeArmond of Velma;Grandchildren Kelly Don Bowen, Jeremy Bench, Crystal Bench, Beverly Newman, Amy Johnson, Dana Lohrer, Tiffany Johnson, Sam Johnson, Frank Johnson, Holly Smith, Kelby Loring, Garrett DeArmond, Lucas DeArmond; numerous great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Kay is preceded in death by her parents; Rhube and Bertha Collins; a daughter, Cheryl Loring; brothers, Rhuben and Glendell Collins, her sisters, Janice Brown, Bernice Hunter and Renee' Collins and a niece Jacque Hite.
Serving as pallbearers will be her grandsons, Kelly Don Bowen, Jeremy Bench, Sam Johnson, Frank Johnson, Kelby Loring, Garrett DeArmond, and Lucas DeArmond.
The family would like to express our gratitude to the Chisholm Trail Assisted Living Center's Staff for their care for our mom throughout her ten years residency. We especially want to thank Millie Thomas for always making our mom's hair look beautiful and to Danielle, her favorite nurse, for always going the second mile in caring for our mom and to Ruby for being mom's dearest friend and helping her at the dining hall and feeding her ice cream and last but not least, a huge "Thank You" to Dr. Hendrix and Dr. Hurst and the DRH staff for helping mom's last hours with us more comfortable.
