Kathleen Apala

Funeral Services for Mrs. Mae Kathleen (Lyle) Chapman Apala, 85, of Ringling are scheduled for 2:00 pm Monday, October 10, 2016 at Alexander Funeral Home Chapel of Ringling with Bro. Joe Taylor officiating. Interment will follow at the Dixie Cemetery north of Ringling.

Kathleen was born May 14, 1931 at Centerpoint, OK to the late Mr. Pearl Andrew Lyle and Mrs. Maude Mae (Davis) Lyle. She departed this life Thursday, October 6, 2016 at The Hospice House in Oklahoma City due to complications from a stroke.

Kathleen was a long time resident of Ringling, living at Centerpoint, Orr, Cornish and Four Corners before settling in the town of Ringling. She married Gene Chapman in 1945 and they were blessed with 3 children, Barbara, David and James. She and Gene owned a grocery store in Cornish for many years.

Later in life Kathleen married Mr.George "Pat" Louis Apala on May 3, 1961 at Gainesville, TX. They were blessed with two sons, Brady and Roy Pat. Kathleen was an excellent cook and baked some delicious pecan pies. She enjoyed reading and spending time with her family and friends. Kathleen was a member of the Church on the Rock of Ringling.

Preceding her in death were her Parents; husband, Mr. Pat Apala - March 3, 2015; son, Brady Apala – 1989; brothers, Cecil and Bill; sisters, Mildred, Mattie, and Geneva; one granddaughter and one grandson.

Survivors include her brother, Roy Lyle and wife Betty Ann (Benton) Lyle of Healdton, sister, Betty Lou (Lyle) Lamascus of Healdton, daughter, Barbara Johnson and husband George of Oklahoma City; sons, David Chapman and wife Sandra of Anchorage, AK, James Chapman and wife April of Rockhill, SC, and Roy Pat Apala and wife Sandy of Ringling; 13 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

Casket Bearers are Brady Apala, Marissa Apala, Paul Roberts, Bryan Smith, Coco Taufiq, and Zack Smith.

Honorary bearers are John Phipps, Roy Lyle and Kendall Whitehead.
