Karen Marie (Haberman) Golson

October 31, 1954 — December 28, 2024

Karen Marie (Haberman) Golson, 70, of Wilson, was born October 31, 1954, at Dayton, Ohio, to the late Mr. Edwin E Haberman and Mrs. Helen M. (Huffman) Haberman. She departed this life Saturday, December 28, 2024, at Duncan, OK.

Growing up in the Dallas area, she attended school in Garland, TX. Karen's passion for helping others led her to pursue a career in healthcare, subsequently enrolling in the Certified Nurse Assistant program. With her compassionate nature and steadfast dedication, she began her career at the Wilson Nursing Center, where she served her community for many years. Later in life, she cherished her role as a homemaker, devoting herself to her family.  In February of 1976, she married Mr. Raymond Plunk, with whom she shared the joys of parenthood, welcoming two children into their family, Jason and Jenni. Karen found fulfillment in her role as a mother, nurturing and supporting her children through all stages of their lives.  Karen later married Mr. Jimmy Golson in July of 1987, who brought great happiness into her life. Unfortunately, the couple faced the heartbreak of losing a stillborn child, a loss that greatly affected them both. A proud grandmother, Karen delighted in her three grandchildren, spending countless treasured moments with them and the entire family. After the loss of her husband Jimmy, Karen formed a special companionship with Mr. Bill Hartman, deepening her circle of friendship and support during a difficult time.

Preceding her in death are her parents; husband, Jimmy Golson; stillborn son, Kevin Golson.

Survivors include her son, Jason Plunk of Healdton; daughter, Jenni Hunt and husband Rusty of Healdton; grandchildren, Dylan Plunk, Amiya Plunk, and Neaveh Plunk; numerous other family and friends.
