Wilson – Funeral Services for Mr. J.W. “Dub” Haynes, 82 of Wilson are scheduled for 2:00 PM Tuesday July 7, 2015 at Alexander Funeral Home Chapel of Wilson with Travis Salsman officiating. Interment will follow at Hewitt Cemetery in Wilson.
Dub was born January 2, 1933 at Wilson, OK to the late Mr. John Warren Haynes and Mrs. Lillie Okla (Horn) Haynes. He departed this life Friday July 3, 2015 at the hospital at Ardmore.
Dub was mostly raised here in Wilson leaving school early to join the United States Navy during the Korean War. Dub served honorably receiving 3 battle stars, United Nations Medal and the National Defense Medal. He returned to this area and worked in the Oilfields before moving to California. Living at California he worked for the State Highway Department for many years retiring in the early 80’s. While living in California Dub received his GED from Lompoc, CA school district which was one of his proudest accomplishments. Dub had moved back to Wilson after he retired. His favorite times were spent with his family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his Parents; Sister, Johnnie Haynes and brother Roy Lee Haynes .
Survivors include his sister, Donna Beavers and Husband Wayne of Harrah; brothers, Richard Haynes and wife Beverly of Eldon, MO and Donald Ray Haynes and wife Linda of Sulphur; numerous other family and friends.
Casket Bearers are Mike Beavers, Gary Beavers, Gage Beavers, Steve Stebbins, Bobby Norton, Brandon Ramsey and Nick Beavers.
Honorary Bearers are Wayne Beavers, Wayne Brown, Jimmy Clark, Frank Carriker and Bill Haynes.
