Junior Whatley

Wilson- Funeral Services for Mr. Junior Whatley, 66, are scheduled for 2:00 PM Wednesday, August 13, 2014 at the Wilson Assembly of God Church with Rev. Dale Tarp officiating. Interment will follow at the Hewitt Cemetery. Services are under the direction and care of Alexander Funeral Home of Wilson, Oklahoma.

Aubrey Loyce “Junior” Whatley, JR. was born August 1, 1948 at Wilson, OK to Mr. Aubrey Loyce Whatley and Mrs. Annie Elizabeth (Croan) Whatley. He passed from this life Sunday, August 10, 2014 at his home in Ringling.

Junior was raised in Wilson and Graduated from Wilson High School in 1966. He attended college at Murray State in Tishomingo and then Cameron University in Lawton. Junior married the former Kay Anderson at Waurika on October 18, 1965. He worked most all of his working years as a welder doing steel construction. Junior owned and operated Whatley Metal Buildings. He originally started the business with his father and brother, John and continued to operate the business just recently retiring. Junior liked camping, fishing and playing marbles. He attended the Assembly of God in Wilson since 2005 and was an Usher and President of the Men’s Fellowship.

Junior is preceded in death by his Father, Aubrey Whatley and Brother, John Bruce Whatley.

He is survived by his Wife, Kay Whatley of the home; Daughter, Susan Sizemore and husband, Arthur of Wilson; Two Sons, Stacy Whatley and wife, Kristi of Kingston and Greg Whatley and wife, Kelly of Wilson; Mother, Elizabeth Whatley of Wilson; Sister, Deloris Jane Butler and husband, Dale, of Ringling; Brothers, Jake Whatley and wife Mildred of Lone Grove, Jarvis Whatley and wife, Tanya of Wilson, Jeff Whatley and wife, Robin of Wilson; 6 Grandchildren; 3 Great Grandchildren; Numerous Nieces, Nephews and other Family and Friends.

Pallbearers are Brad Whatley, Ronnie Whatley, Warren Butler, Steve Anderson, Allan Tucker, Jericho Whatley and Braden Whatley.

Honorary Bearers are John Whatley, Zach Storie, Josh Butler, Wayne Dowdy, Joe Bartlett, Dennis Turpin and Dale Richardson.

Visitation will be Tuesday, August 12, 2014 from 6-8 PM at Alexander Funeral Home of Wilson, OK.
