Johnny Earl Crabb

Wilson – Services for Mr. Johnny Earl Crabb, 74, of Wilson are scheduled for 2:00 PM Monday Oct. 3, 2022, at the Ash Street Church of Christ of Wilson with Jeff Jones officiating. Interment will follow at the Ringling Memorial Cemetery with military honors. Services are under the direction of Alexander Gray Funeral Home of Wilson.

Mr. Crabb was born Nov. 14, 1947, at Ardmore to the late Mr. Elmer Elmo Crabb and Mrs. Beatrice Viola (Webb) Worsham. He departed from this life on Wed. Sept. 28, 2022, at his home in Wilson.

Mr. Crabb was raised in Ringling graduating from Ringling High School in 1966. He attended college at Southeastern for 2 years and enlisted into the United States Army soon after. Johnny served within the Army National Guard honorably for 36 years. He retired as Master Sargent in 2005, shortly after serving within the Operation Iraqi Freedom. His civilian occupation primarily was being an electronic repairman.

Mr. Crabb was united in marriage to the former Brenda Whitsett on Feb. 17, 1991 at Healdton. They have happily made their home in Wilson attending church at the Ash Street Church of Christ. Johnny always enjoyed boating, swimming, pets and had a passion for fast cars.

Preceding him in death are his parents; daughter, Julie Thompson; son Brett Bivens and granddaughter, Avery Bivens.

Survivors include his loving wife Brenda of the home; sister, Linda Nipp of Ringling; children, Andrew Bivens, and wife Lacey of Healdton; grandchildren, Riley Bivens, Rebeka Dressler, Allyson Bivens, Stephen Stillwell, Jr., Devon Bivens, Madelyn Bivens, Kyler Thompson, and Kinsley Bivens; several nieces, nephews, and other family.

Casket bearers will be Andrew Bivens, Riley Bivens, Jessie Baker, Newt Nipp, Johnny Dale Nipp and Wesley Warrington.

Honorary Bearers will be Gib Blevins, Randy Whitsett, Brandon Martin, Dustin Martin, Devon Bivens and Stephen Stillwell, Jr.

Family visitation will held from 2 to 4pm Sunday Funeral Home in Wilson.
