Leroy was born April 12, 1933 in Oscar, OK. to Mr. Rose Barry Romines and Mrs. Fannie Lee (Strickland ) Romines. He departed this life on July 11, 2013 at Ardmore, OK.

Leroy lived his entire life deaf. He was a “Gentle Giant”. Leroy was such a kind and loving ole gentleman. He loved farming and John Deere tractors. All of his life he worked at Rubottom and Courtney Flatts farming with his brother R.B. He was an animal lover from the word go! Leroy loved family get togethers especially the ones at the park at Gainesville, Texas. He loved to work in his yard and at 80 years old he bought a new riding lawn mower. Leroy loved life and he lived it his way, regardless of the advice you gave him. He never married or had kids of his own but he sure raised a bunch of nieces and nephews. Leroy was famous for taking them fishing on the Red River. Leroy is in a better place now listening and talking to his Heavenly Father. He was a live wire and we are going to miss him something terrible.

Preceding him in death are his Parents; Brothers, R.B. and Junior Leon Romines; Sister and Brother in laws, Betty and Calvin Wolfe, Mattie and Raymond Dewbre and Peggy Williams.

Survivors include his Sister, Bertha Morgan and husband Jerry of Cheek, OK.; Sister in laws, Sharon Romines of Rubottom, OK., Doreen Romines of Grand Prairie, Texas; Brother in law, Cecil Williams of Ringling, OK.; Numerous Nieces, Nephews, Family and Friends.

Pallbearers are David Wolfe, Johnny Dewbre, Jimmy Dale Dewbre, Billy Joe Dewbre, James Morgan and Ray Morgan.

Honorary Bearers are all of his Nieces and Nephews and the Men of the United Methodist Church.

Family Visitation will be Friday, July 12, 2013 from 6-8 P.M. at the Alexander Funeral Home in Wilson, OK.
