Wilson - Funeral Services for Mr. John "Johnny" Irving Kirkpatrick, 64 of Ardmore are scheduled for 2:30 pm Friday, June 25, 2021 at Alexander Gray Funeral Home Chapel of Wilson with Rev. Mark Fuller. Cremation will follow after services at Alexander Gray Crematory in Ringling.
Johnny was born on July 10, 1956 at Anchorage, AK to the late Mr. Ross Irving Kirkpatrick and Mrs. Martha Elizabeth (Burt) Kirkpatrick. He departed this life on Tuesday, June 22, 2021 at Lone Grove.
Johnny was raised in Ardmore graduating high school from Dickson in 1975. He married the former Ms. Theresa Ann Bennett on May 30, 1980 at Ardmore. They made their home in Ardmore happily being together for 41 years. Johnny was most well known for having K&B Trucking, baling hay around Leon and working on heavy equipment as a mechanic. He was a loving, kind, good hearted man who never had a bad thing to say about anyone.
Preceding him in death are both of his parents, Ross Kirkpatrick and Martha Kirkpatrick; brother in law, Maurice Bennett.
Survivors include his wife Theresa of the home; sons, John Irving "Trey" Kirkpatrick, III of Ardmore and Jeremy Kirkpatrick of Sulphur; grandson, Jensen Kirkpatrick; brother, Burt Kirkpatrick of Ardmore; sisters, Carla Thomas, Naomi Copeland and spouse Tony Eads, all of Dickson, Joanne Jones of Shawnee, Charlene Smith of Ardmore and Stephanie Lee of Leon; sister in law, Judy Copeland of Salem, IN; best friend, Chris Cates of Ardmore; numerous other relatives and friends.
Family visitation will be held from 6 to 8 pm Thursday evening at the funeral home in Wilson.
